On March 13, 2020, the James residence (aka the Copper Cottage), built in 1908, was moved from 336 East 9th St, North Vancouver to a property at 532 East 10th St, only blocks from its former location. The operation, carried out by Nickel Brothers, unfolded smoothly apart from a few close shaves, which were quickly and efficiently remedied by the removal of street signs and the shaving of embankment soil. The new location is going to have the benefit of siting the house close to the street, which will create a significant addition to the streetscape.
