In addition to our advocacy work, North Shore Heritage organizes public workshops and presentations throughout the year. We also make presentations to school groups, take part in Community Day events and publish an annual Trades Directory.

Ongoing activities:

• Host workshops on heritage home conservation to promote the retention of heritage homes through Heritage Revitalization Agreements.

• Write letters of support and speak at Public Hearings in all three North Shore municipalities regarding proposed developments involving heritage properties.

• Consult with, and support homeowners who wish to retain heritage homes through various development efforts.

• Attend West Vancouver’s Heritage Advisory Committee meetings.

• Maintain a strong internet presence through our website & blog, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.

• Host a Christmas Party and Summer Social!

• Our email forum (aka listserv) is always active with members getting responses to their questions seeking a specific trade for their maintenance project or learning more about insuring a heritage home, for example. In addition, we also host an online Community Forum.

*Note: Due to Covid, we are not currently hosting any workshops, nor our Summer Social or Holiday Parties.
